The momentum of women’s wrestling is at an all time high. As we head into the World Team Trials this weekend, this has never been more apparent. Storylines abound in Lincoln, Nebraska, even though four weights will not be contested (Olympic medalists receive automatic bids). The six weight classes are scattered with veterans, coaches, college, and high school athletes. The diversity of the sport has never been higher.

As the women toe the line on Saturday, the road traveled to get here has never looked so different. That is a great thing. The next generation of dare I say “superstars” are closing quickly. The opportunities and resources have never been so accessible. That is why now more than ever we need to get behind “OUR” girls because after all this is our sport. We must continue to feed the fire that is driving this engine. As we roll into Worlds and U23’s, let's make a strong push into the women’s college season. So many of the World Team Trial participants are college athletes. Here’s the list.
